    Religious Studies, Philosophy & Ethics (Edexcel)

    Students will consider philosophical issues and questions: the nature and influence of religious experience, problems of evil and suffering, philosophical language, works of scholars and influences of developments in religious belief. In addition there will be a study of ethical theories: application of ethical theories to issues of importance, ethical language, deontology, virtue ethics, medical ethics and beginning and end of life issues. The social, historical and religious context of the New Testament is studied, including historical-critical challenges, ethical living and the works of scholars.

    Entry requirements: GCSE grade B in RS if taken or a grade 6 in English.
