It introduces deterrents to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls and improve feelings of safety. Safer Streets sees Cheshire Police ramping up its determination to make Cheshire’s streets even safer. Safer Streets is funded from the Government’s Safer Streets Fund and was secured byJohn Dwyer, Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

  • equip teachers , through a Train The Teacher Model, to deliver Preventing Sexual Misconduct in Education (PSME) programmes to learners, for key stages 3, 4 and 5, as part of the RSE curriculum, in order to empower them with knowledge and confidence to help them keep safe.
  • develop the knowledge and skills of those undertaking the Sexual Misconduct Liaison Officer (SMLO) role to enable them to respond appropriately and provide support to pupils/students making a disclosure/report of sexual violence/misconduct in an educational setting.
