Year 9 Drama learners have one, 1-hour lesson over the fortnightly timetable. Year 9 Drama is about refining the performance skills developed in Y8. Learners explore different aspects of performance from Radio to Television acting. We also offer Lighting masterclass sessions with external professional companies to allow learners to experience all elements of Drama. Learners continue to explore bot Acting and Technical Theatre in preparation for Y9 Options.

Learners will attend a production by our link partner, Storyhouse, to experience live theatre. Learners fully utilise online streaming platforms such as National Theatre Live and Digital Theatre Plus.
