Headteacher's Message

Good afternoon and welcome to the latest edition of the parent/ carer bulletin.

I would like to start this week's bulletin by asking for any feedback from yourselves as to how this bulletin could be improved.  As you will all be aware, the format changed earlier in the academic year, and we have tried to make it more accessible ensure it contains the most relevant information for you.  If you have any suggestions for further improvement could you please send an email to admin@uptonhigh.co.uk and we will review your suggestions over the half-term break.

Yesterday it was a real pleasure to be able to walk around the Art Department as they hosted this year's Art Exhibition.  The work on display was that of our Year 13 learners in Art and Photography.  As always, there was a real array of skills on display.  It was great to see so many parents supporting this event and commenting on the work that has been produced by our learners.

This week I can confirm that the full planning application for the new school has been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester.  My understanding is that the plans have been validated by the LA, and so they are now viewable on the Cheshire West and Chester Planning Website.  The link to this is shown below.  We will also update the school website to flag this information.

It is hard to believe that next week will mark the end of another half-term.  I will write to you at some point next week to provide an update on the week and also a forward look to the next half-term.

With very best wishes,

Mr L Cummins

Learners who are in receipt of Free School Meals

We are in the process of arranging for parents / carers of all FSM learners to receive a £15.00 Tesco e-gift card, financed through Cheshire West & Chester Council’s Household Support Fund, to assist with purchasing food for your child(ren) over the May Half-Term holiday period.  We will be issuing one e-gift card for every FSM learner on roll in our school. These cards will be emailed to you direct by Tesco at around 8.00 a.m. on Friday 23rd May.  If you cannot see the email in your Inbox please double-check your Junk Email and Clutter folders, just in case it has gone into one of them in error.

If you do not receive an e-gift card you were expecting please email finance@uptonhigh.co.uk and we will investigate and resolve the matter for you.

Year 11 & Year 13 Catering Accounts

As we are now approaching the end of your child's academic year, it is important that any negative catering balances are settled with Aspens as a matter of urgency.

Please make a payment into your child’s account in order to clear any deficits as soon as possible. You can access their account to check their balance and make any necessary payments via the online payment system, Scopay here.

If you do not already have an online account, or require further assistance, please email finance@uptonhigh.co.uk.

We wish your child every success in their exams and a happy future in whatever they choose to do next year.

Kind regards,

The Finance Office
