Welcome to this week's parent/ carer bulletin.
This week I had the pleasure of presenting the three learners in the above photograph with their platinum award certificates for achieving over 3000 points during the last academic year. Learners are awarded points throughout the year based on their attitude to learning in lessons, praise card points, punctuality and also their attendance at Engage@upton activities.
We are delighted to share the success of our Open Evening, which took place last night. We welcomed a record number of visitors to Upton-by-Chester High School – almost 1,200 in total. The evening began with a presentation from myself, followed by two outstanding speeches from Year 10 learners, who spoke with confidence and warmth about their experiences at our school. Visitors were then guided around the site by our learners, who impressed families with their knowledge, enthusiasm, and pride in their school. Today, I have already received numerous letters of praise from parents, who commented on the exceptional learners and the welcoming staff they met. It was a wonderful evening that truly reflected the strength of our school community, and we could not be prouder.
Next week we have Tempest photography visiting on Tuesday 30th September, more information can be found below.
Wishing you all the best for the weekend,
Mr L Cummins
