Welcome to the latest edition of the parent/ carer bulletin.
This week, we were delighted to welcome so many parents to our Year 11 Learner Progress Evening. I hope you found the event informative as we continue the countdown to the GCSE exam season. Your engagement plays an important role in helping our learners stay focused and confident in the months ahead.
There is a real buzz around school as learners rehearse for our upcoming Performing Arts Festival. Their enthusiasm and creativity are shining through, and we look forward to sharing their hard work with you soon. Tickets to both Macbeth and Matilda are available now via Scopay.
Help Us Shape the Future of Upton by Chester High School
As many of you know, Upton by Chester High School is undergoing a once-in-a-generation rebuild as part of the Schools Rebuilding Programme. This incredible new building represents a major investment in our learners and our community. While it will be fully constructed, it will be unfurnished, and we are determined to ensure it is equipped with inspiring, modern resources that truly support learning for future generations.
We are beginning to explore fundraising opportunities to help us achieve this and would love to draw on the knowledge, ideas, and connections within our school community. If you are aware of any organisations, businesses, or funding opportunities we might approach, or if you have ideas for fundraising initiatives we could explore, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please share any suggestions or contacts by emailing admin@uptonhigh.co.uk. Every idea, no matter how small, could help us turn an amazing building into a world-class learning environment. Thank you for your continued support in helping us shape the future for our learners.
With very best wishes for the weekend,
Mr L Cummins
