Careers Breakfast

Thank you to Lynn Podmore for speaking to learners yesterday about life as a Museum and Heritage Consultant.

She discussed different career opportunities and how storytelling through everyday objects can uncover global histories, hidden voices, sustainability and modern links to labour and ethical choices today. Lynn brought in a 50‑year‑old cotton reel from Quarry Bank Mill and explained how its history can be traced, highlighting how developments in the past have resulted in children being educated, instead of working in mills today.
