Once again, learners have demonstrated exceptional academic performance across a wide range of subjects, reflecting their hard work, resilience, and determination throughout their time at the school.

This year’s results are particularly special, given the unique challenges faced by this cohort. These learners entered secondary school at a time of significant disruption, with the ongoing impact of the pandemic shaping much of their early education. Despite this, they have shown remarkable perseverance and strength of character - qualities that have come to define the Class of 2025 during their five years at Upton-by-Chester High School.

Headteacher Lee Cummins said:

“I am absolutely delighted with the results our young people have achieved today. The Class of 2025 have been an incredible year group from the very beginning, and I am immensely proud of every single one of them. Their commitment, resilience, and positivity have been a constant inspiration to us all.

We are excited to be welcoming many of our learners back into our Sixth Form in September, where we know they will continue to thrive both academically and personally. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teaching staff, whose commitment and professionalism have supported learners every step of the way.

Additionally, I’d like to thank our parents and carers for their continued support throughout the years - your encouragement has played a vital role in these achievements. We now look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of our learners as they move on to the next exciting chapter in their education and lives, proud of all they have accomplished.”
