Airbus selected two entries from Upton to attend their VIP day: a group containing Isla, Maya, Freya and Olivia and another entry designed by Daisy on her own. The day included a tour of the Airbus factory and a series of STEM activities and challenges to complete.

Daisy's prize was a trophy for herself and for the school she has won £5,000 worth of technology equipment to be paid for by Airbus. Daisy's success in winning the overall competition is an outstanding achievement, firstly due to the range of competition from other schools, but also as her entry was an individual one rather than a group one.

The Design Technology department will discuss with Mr Cummins, Headteacher, as to how we might best spend the prize money of £5,000 of STEM technology equipment so that as many learners as possible can benefit from Daisy's success.
