More mathematical success for our students

A number of our students had success in the Challenge and Senior Challenge take home competitions in February half-term, organised by Mathematical Education on Merseyside.

A number of our Maths students took part in the Challenge and Senior Challenge take home competitions in February half-term, organised by Mathematical Education on Merseyside.  Together these competitions attracted around 3000 entries from both local schools and those further afield.

Our students did us proud, with Elizabeth Dearden-Williams (Year 10) gaining best in school award and also 3rd prize overall, and Elizabeth Osborne and Lucy Birchall (both Year 10) gaining certificate of merit and consolation prize respectively.

In the Junior Challenge Bethan Rhoden (Year 8) gained best in school award and overall 2nd prize.

A huge congratulations must be given to the above mentioned students who have been invited along to attend an awards evening at Liverpool University during April and May.
