Examinations and Controlled Assessment

Learners at Upton-by-Chester High School will complete examinations throughout their journey with us. These examinations can be Pre-Public Examinations (mock) internal examinations and external examinations (contributing to qualifications) such as GCSE and A Levels. Some qualifications require controlled assessments that will be completed in school adhering to specific qualification specific conditions.

These examinations are completed in designated exam spaces.

The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) oversees the regulation of examinations to ensure that the integrity and security of the examination/assessment system is always maintained and is not brought into disrepute.
