Eco-Schools
The Eco Schools program is a global initiative designed to empower students to take an active role in protecting the environment in school and the wider community. Our Eco Schools Action Group conduct environmental reviews, and develop action plans on key topics like energy, waste, water, biodiversity, and more. By integrating sustainability into everyday school life and the curriculum, Eco Schools promotes environmental awareness, civic responsibility, and student leadership.
We have previously worked with the Mersey Forest to create an outdoor classroom and work closely with Chester Zoo to promote initiatives like sustainable palm oil and increasing biodiversity on our school grounds.
Members of our Eco Schools Action Group also represent our school in the Chester School Sustainability Network, working closely with other local schools to promote sustainability.
