Literacy interventions focus on the use of appropriate, evidence based and measurable interventions to improve literacy skills, vocabulary, comprehension and decoding skills. In order for all learners to achieve their potential, intervention strategies are used to improve literacy skills and ensure that all learners can make significant progress, regardless of their entry point to the secondary phase. 

Learners are identified for interventions using whole cohort screening Year 7-9 and individual screening in Year 10 – 13.
